As of Thursday early in the morning, health officials have confirmed:

The racial disparity of COVID-19 deaths

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio released the numbers on Wednesday showing that New York City is no exception to the nations statistics. More than a third of the deaths have been Hispanic, while 28 percent have been black, 27 percent white, and 7 percent Asian.

And Mayor De Blasio said:

“We’re seeing folks who have struggled before really being hit particularly hard by the coronavirus… That’s a blatant inequality. We don’t accept it.”

From NYT we learn that, from research published on Wednesday from two teams operating independently, stated that, the earliest COVID 19 cases in the state were present in February — over a week before the first confirmed patient was announced — and that the virus had been brought over from Europe.
